Visiting Hours

St. John’s Episcopal Hospital encourages and supports active involvement of patients' families and significant others in the plan of care. Visiting guidelines are designed to promote a therapeutic and healing environment for all patients and to provide for a safe environment of our patients and visitors.

Children must be 14 years of age or older to visit unless prior approval is obtained from the Unit Director/ Manager/Designee.  Children should come at a scheduled time and no more than 2 children are allowed at a time.  However, siblings of newborn babies are permitted to visit the Maternity Unit.   An adult must accompany children at all times and in all areas of the hospital.

General Visiting 11am - 8pm
ICU and CCU 11am - 8pm
Maternity

New Fathers

11 am – 8 pm, extended hours

Siblings

4pm – 8pm

Grandparents

11am - 8pm
Psychiatry 1pm - 2pm, 7pm - 8pm

In the Emergency Department, only two visitors will be allowed at the patient’s bedside for the duration of the ED visit.  (Visitors or family members may alternate during this time.) In the Psychiatric ED, one visitor will be allowed at the patient’s bedside at the discretion of the Nurse Manager or his/her designee.

Visitors may be asked to leave the room during a physician visit or treatment to respect the privacy of our patients.
