Allopathic Medicine Residency Programs
PSYCHIATRY

St. John’s Department of Psychiatry is a part of the campus of the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn. Residents in adult psychiatry and Fellows in geriatric psychiatry from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn and Creedmoor Psychiatric Center complete rotations at St. John’s Department of Psychiatry.

In addition, medical students from five universities train at St. John’s. The Department of Psychiatry also hosts psychology interns from Hofstra University. The Department is a comprehensive treatment center with 75 inpatient beds including detoxification and extensive outpatient programs.
