Nursing

The Nursing Service at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital is dedicated to providing patient-centered individualized quality patient care recognizing the need for family involvement and a multidisciplinary team approach. We encourage our staff’s professional growth and believe in their development through leadership, education and modeling our practice on evidence-based standards. Patient outcomes are monitored and evaluated in order to continually improve. Central to this process is the inclusion of frontline staff members in our performance improvement initiatives.

The Nurse of Distinction honors extraordinary nurses for their professionalism, expertise, compassion, and commitment to caring for patients. Nurses are nominated by their peers and chosen by a committee of frontline and management staff.
