Episcopal Health Services Announces New Leadership
December 6, 2010, Garden City, NY -- The Episcopal Health Services, Inc., Board of Managers has named a new top leadership team: Nelson E. Toebbe, Chief Executive Officer; John P. Rinset, Chief Operating Officer; and Will Moore, Chief Financial Officer.
“These are three seasoned healthcare executives and we are very pleased they will be leading Episcopal Health Services. We have great confidence that their many years of experience and broad knowledge will continue the progress we've made in delivering healthcare and will steer our health system to even higher levels of service and quality,” said the Right Reverend Lawrence C. Provenzano, President and Chairman of EHS.
Episcopal Health Services, Inc., is the parent organization that includes St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, Far Rockaway, N.Y.; the Bishop Waldo MacLean Episcopal Nursing Home, Far Rockaway, N.Y.; and the Bishop Henry B. Hucles Episcopal Nursing Home in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Nelson E. Toebbe has more than 30 years of significant experience as a healthcare administrator in highly competitive markets. He is an accomplished leader of large, complex organizations, and is most noted for a strong commitment to quality patient care, education and community service. He has served as President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating and Hospital Director at several not-for-profit hospital systems, including large teaching hospitals, across several regions and in a variety of advanced managed care markets.
Board-certified in healthcare management and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Toebbe holds a Master of Healthcare Administration Degree from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Louisville. He has also completed several executive graduate programs, including The Kaiser Permanente Executive Program at Stanford University; Health Systems Management at Harvard University; and Health Policy, Planning and Analysis at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Public Health.

John P. Rinset, Chief Operating Officer
John P. Rinset is a senior healthcare professional with nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare executive management. His expertise includes interim executive management and organizational turnarounds, specialty operations, small hospital operations, transitional management assignments, board and medical staff development and strategies, managed care contracting, supply chain initiatives, nursing service redesign, and merger, acquisition and divestiture planning and facilitation.
Previously, Mr. Rinset served as President and CEO of Northwest Washington Service Area and Providence General Medical Center (Sisters of Providence Health System), President and CEO of St. Luke's Health System, and Senior Vice President and Administrator of Mercy San Juan/American River Hospital (Catholic Healthcare West), among others. Mr. Rinset holds a Master of Science Degree in Hospital and Health Care Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Santa Clara. He is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives.

Will Moore, Chief Financial Officer
Will Moore has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry working with hospitals and hospital systems in both nonprofit and for-profit environments. He has an extensive background in hospital operations at the chief financial officer level, and in senior financial management and advisory capacities. As the senior financial executive of more than a dozen healthcare systems, Mr. Moore has experienced involvement with a wide variety of senior executive teams, medical staffs and boards, and has often been a relied upon resource for financial and operational improvements in distressed situations. Through his broad exposure to issues of healthcare finance and operations, Mr. Moore has developed a keen ability to quickly adapt, interpret, and assume the lead in management situations requiring the demonstration of financial results and linking financial improvements with operational change.
Mr. Moore has worked with nationally recognized consulting firms in the areas of corporate restructuring and financial management issues. Mr. Moore is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Insolvency Restructuring Advisor, and a Fellow in Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). In 2005, he was also awarded the Follmer Bronze award from HFMA in recognition of his distinguished service in the area of healthcare finance. Mr. Moore holds a Master of Business Administration from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.
