St. John's Episcopal Hospital Names Patrick J. Sullivan Chief Operating Officer
MARCH 24, 2008 (Far Rockaway, NY) - - - The appointment of Patrick J. Sullivan to the position of Chief Operating Officer of St. John’s Episcopal Hospital recently was announced by John Gupta, the Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Sullivan began at St. John’s on Monday, March 17, 2008. “We are very excited to welcome someone with Mr. Sullivan’s depth of experience with the New York City healthcare market,” said Mr. Gupta. “He will be an excellent addition to our leadership team.” “I was attracted to the fact that St. John’s Episcopal Hospital wants to become a facility of choice,” said Mr. Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan worked for 30 years in the healthcare industry. The last 18 years of his career have been spent at North Brooklyn Health Network/Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center, where he served as Deputy Executive Director. More than 700 employees worked in Mr. Sullivan’s division. For 11 straight Joint Commission surveys, the division ranked in the top 5% in the entire United States. While he enjoys successes, Mr. Sullivan is known for his central theme: “Bring hospitality back to the hospital.” In Mr. Sullivan’s view, his division is responsible for ensuring that everyone who comes to St. John’s receives care in the finest environment possible. Mr. Sullivan lives on Long Island. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Adelphi University in Garden City. ![]() Patrick J.
