The staff at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, South Shore, hits one out of the park on Patient Safety Zone Day on Friday, February 11, 2005. Displays were set up in the Hospital lobby detailing different aspects of patient safety such as look-alike, sound-alike drugs, proper medical abbreviations, infection control and others, raising awareness of the need to improve safety for patients and staff. Employees played Patient Safety Jeopardy and Hollywood Squares. The event kicked off a Patient Safety campaign for the entire Hospital.
