St. John’s Episcopal Hospital honored its medical staff and residents on Doctors’ Day, Friday, March 30, 2007, with a brunch along with door prizes and gifts. The first Doctors’ Day was celebrated on March 30, 1933, in Windsor, Georgia, and in 1990, President George H.W. Bush signed an executive order declaring that day National Doctors’ Day in recognition of the “debt of gratitude” owed to the contributions of physicians.
