Adult day care is a full program of services and activities to provide essential physical care and social opportunity for those who need a home away from home during the day. The Lucille Rose Adult Day Health Program at the nursing home provides adult day care for people in the Brooklyn community who are medically fragile or chronically ill, including round-trip transportation as well as breakfast, hot lunches, and snacks.

Adult day care participants enjoy a separate wing of the facility, where fully licensed
and certified professional are available to provide medical care and rehabilitative therapy
Dental services are also available. Social life is enjoyed through a full program of social and leisure activities, including day trips, in-house musical and theater entertainment, arts and crafts, and table games along with monthly birthday celebrations and seasonal parties.

Program hours are 8:30 A.M. to 2:30 PM. Monday through Saturday

Who is eligible?
Any adult resident of Brooklyn who is medically fragile, suffering from dementia, and/or chronically ill and who is Medicaid eligible may apply for this program.

How do I apply?
To take advantage of the Lucille Rose Adult Day Health Care Program, you need to obtain a referral from a family member, a physician, or community representative. Call for an appointment any weekday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and a staff member will arrange to see you.
