For newsday.com's 1997 Long Island Surf Board Awards, Newsday (the sixth
largest metropolitan newspaper in the country) invited the Webmasters
of the world to submit their Home Pages for a little cyber challenge.
The competition was divided into five categories -- Personal Home Page,
Non-Profit Organization, Public Service Page, Club or Group Page, and
School Site. Then, a panel of Newsday gearheads judged each page on content,
design, and creative expression. While we didn't win the competition,
the EHS Home Page was one of only 10 Home Pages to receive Honorable Mention
in the Non-Profit Organization category. Thanks, Newsday!
